Over several years some women have invested a considerable amount of money in purchasing their Pandora bracelet and charms to wear on it. While each individual charm is not necessarily all that expensive (although some are), when added together a completed bracelet is often worth anywhere from $500 up to $4,000 or more. That is not something that you would want to lose.
Aside from the monetary value, usually a lot of time has gone into selecting the charms. Many are often given as gifts or are used to signify a special occasion or happening in one’s life. Thus, losing a completed bracelet often causes a fair amount of anguish as many of the beads are keepsakes with special memories attached to them. For these reasons it is highly recommended that you purchase a safety chain to wear on your bracelet.
There are several different safety chains to choose from including two silver safety chains, the Daisy Safety chain and the Raindrop safety chain. There is a silver and gold combination Heart safety chain and an all gold Flower safety chain. The chains are designed to screw onto the bracelet, just as other Pandora charms are. Unlike the clips, which clip around the bracelet and stay in one place, the beads on the chains will move around the bracelet. The only way to have it remain in place is to add it to an already full bracelet, that way there is no room for it to move around. Of course, you should add it to either side of the clasp, as the last bead added to the bracelet, in order for it to be effective.
The chains cost around the same price as a bead made of the same material would cost. Silver is the cheapest, the gold and silver is slightly more expensive while the gold safety chain is quite a bit more expensive. It definitely is a worthwhile investment if you have a completed Pandora charm bracelet, especially if you have very many expensive beads on your bracelet.
