Kids need school supplies all year long, not just in September and January during the school-rush shopping season. You can make it easier on yourself by shopping through catalogues and stocking up at the beginning of the school year when items are on sale. Catalogues, whether they’re paper catalogues that are mailed to you or you pick up in store, or online catalogues where you can look at all the products and order over the Internet, can save you a lot of time and money when shopping for school supplies. Even stores that don’t have paper catalogues will usually have a way for you to order items online.

The socialization myth was born of a misconception of what it’s like to do free online homeschooling. Many educators and critics of homeschooling still believe homeschoolers hit the books at 9am, work all day at their kitchen table till 3:00pm or later, and spend their days isolated and alone.
