If you are planning a birthday party themed around Bob The Builder for your little fan of the popular cartoon show, you will need some Bob The Builder games to play to keep the children at the party entertained. As such here a couple of ideas for you to try.
The first one is like a treasure hunt that will ensure the children are occupied for about 20 minutes. All you need is a big selection of large Lego blocks or any other interlocking blocks. Work out what area of your house, garden or party location the children will be allowed in and hide the blocks everywhere. When you are ready for the game, show the children the sort of thing they are looking for and send them off on their treasure hunt. They can hunt individually or in groups of two or three and they need to know that they need to find as many blocks as possible. You can then either determine the winner by the child(ren) that collect the most blocks or put a time limit on the hunt and once this is over get the children to build something with the blocks they have found. You can then see what they come up with and choose the best design as the winner.
The second game is more of a stretch for the Bob The Builder theme but you can wangle it if you sell it correctly. It is in fact a word game that should elicit some fun after the birthday munchies are over but all the children are still sitting at the table. The rules of the game are that the children must tell a lie when they answer a question. So children ask each other questions and the replies must be a lie. To keep it in theme questions should be Bob The Builder or building based. This game is quite tricky to keep up especially if played quite fast. The child who keeps it up the longest wins a Bob The Builder toy prize.
